Potential hazards during the operation of vehicle LNG cylinders mainly come from their physical properties:
1. LNG has an extremely low temperature under standard conditions: -162°C;
2. It has a large gas-to-liquid volume ratio. If the pressure reduction measures are improper, the pressure will rise rapidly. The gas-to-liquid volume ratio of LNG is roughly: 600:1;
3. Natural gas is a flammable gas (ignition point 538°C) and an asphyxiating gas;
4. An explosion may occur in a confined space (flammability limit in air is 5-15%);
Security
When working on-site with NG or LNG, you need to have the following safety knowledge:
1. Keep LNG equipment away from flames or sparks;
2. Fireworks are not allowed to enter areas where LNG equipment is repaired, filled, and stored;
